Due to the manufacturing cost and the advanced design of the grips, we had to settle on one size for the barbell. The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) recommends a barbell shaft diameter of 28 mm for men and 25 mm for women and youth. We settled on a diameter of 28 mm for the grips which can be used on the 28 mm or 25 mm bars. There are some barbells used for powerlifting that has a diameter of 32 mm and the grips will not fit those barbells. The grips are not to be used for powerlifting.
If you consider the following facts; manufacturing cost due to its advanced design, durability, one-of-a-kind (no other product like it on the market), multi-purpose (can be used on the flat bench, incline bench, decline bench, shoulder press bench, Smith Machine, upright rows, and bent-over rows), combines the advantages of the dumbbell and barbell into one compact piece of equipment, the grips are actually underpriced! Many times, the monetary value of a product is not fully appreciated until the full understanding of the product’s capabilities are recognized and understood! Everyone has to determine for themselves how much value to place on their own personal fitness goals! promocode 2024
If used on the Smith Machine, no! If used on the free-standing benches, YES, you MUST use the stops or limiters AND use a spotter! We strongly encourage and recommend using the Ai1r Grips on the Smith Machine first until becoming proficient before moving to the free-standing benches!
